Empire Diner, New York City

Empire Diner is part of the American Diner series of photographs that I have been working on since I moved to this area two years ago. Having many of the characteristics of my photographic aesthetic in general, it also continues my fascination with mythic American iconography. (A recent series traced the nineteen mile alignment of Route 66 through the city of St. Louis, as it now looks.) A recent book, reAPPEARANCES, explored the look of the world from drive-through wedding chapels in Las Vegas to Eiffel Towers and Leaning Towers and Lady Liberty's.

The image size is 9" x 12" and it is printed on 11" X 17" archival digital paper with pigment inks. It will be framed 18" by 24".
