Charcoal Landscape in Tramp Art Frame

I created this imaginary landscape using a variety of disparate materials -- a raku-fired ceramic house, charred driftwood, a moody fabric sample and a vintage Tramp Art frame. The resulting artwork provides a view into a mysterious little world while also feeling uncannily as though it was itself made in "another time, another place." My hope is that the viewer will identify on some emotional level with this solitary house and create their own personal story about what is being depicted here.
